Группа The Locust была образована в 1994 году в городе Сан-Диего, Калифорния. В состав коллектива входят музыканты из таких проектов, как Retox, Cattle Decapitation, Some Girls, Head Wound City, Swing Kids и One Day as a Lion. Последней изданной пластинкой The Locust стала The Peel Sessions, выход которой состоялся в 2010 году.
